The MacCaLM project was delighted to welcome Christina and David Romer to the University of Edinburgh from September to November 2017.
Christina Romer is currently Garff B. Wilson Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, having previously acted as Chairwoman of the Council of Economic Advisers in the Obama Administration.
David Romer is currently Herman Royer Professor of Political Economy at the University of California, Berkeley and is the author of the standard textbook in graduate macroeconomics.
Together, Christina and David take a narrative approach to macroeconomics, focusing on times of economic crisis.
Christina and David took part in a Post-Crisis Macroeconomics Workshop held in Edinburgh on 17th October 2017.
