John is Professor of Economics at the Institute for International Economic Studies at Stockholm University. John is also a serving member of the Prize Committee for the Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel and from 2013 to 2016 was chairman of the Swedish Fiscal Policy Council. His research covers areas of dynamic public finance, social mobility, growth and climate change.
